I’ve worked in numerous technical fields including as a developer, a stint in emerging technologies, then in development management and now Enterprise Architecture and a more or less completed circle back to what we used to call Emerging Technologies, but now is all about Web 2.0.  My true love, after my wife and family (apologies dear, correction made - note to self, don’t encourage wife to read blog), remains emerging technologies and their application to business.

In my current incarnation I use the title Strategic Architect, and work for a large firm (it’s not hard to work out which; click my LinkedIn profile) helping to develop and guide directions for IT over the next 2 - 4 year horizon, primarily internally although I do work occasionally with their clients.

I make no claim to be an expert, although I’ll back my opinions.  As the tag-line says I this blog contains “The often random thoughts of an Eclectic Architect, Enterprise Technologist, Coffee Addict & Social Media Junkie”.  I’m very happy to be amused and educated in equal parts and my tastes are eclectic.  Essentially If you like what you read then I’m happy to share.  If you don’t agree, I value your comments and feedback.
