The often random thoughts of an Eclectic Architect, Enterprise Technologist, Coffee Addict & Social Media Junkie

Editorial Policy

Originally I didn’t feel I needed an editorial policy, however as I’ve achieved some (very) small notoriety amongst colleagues that I work with both internal and external to my employer, as well as the fact that it’s not hard to figure out who I work for anyway (if you really want to know, click on my LinkedIn profile), a statement is needed.

All opinions on this blog are my responsibility.  I never mention the name of my employer;  I don’t represent my employer in any capacity on this blog.  If you wish to quote me (it’s happened) feel free to do so, but please attribute me as “Tim Bull, BinaryPlex” or similar.

That said, on occasion I do publish work here that I use to test the water with ideas, some of which I take back internally where it is merited.  In none of this do I represent the opinion of my employer although they may well ultimately benefit from information published here on this blog.

Finally, in the context of my job I often receive information from vendors under the terms of an NDA.  I always respect this and never discuss this information publically (including on this blog) until the vendor has released their own statement into the public domain.

It should be noted no-ones asked me to do this, it’s just something that I’ve been thinking was needed for a while and has been prompted by me being quoted and attributed with my employer, which is not correct as I’m not offering an opinion on their behalf in this instance at all.
